Miss Nunez operated on my Dupuytrens contracture recently and did a wonderful job. She has helped me for many years with this persistent problem and I would recommend her unconditionally.

I have never been under the care of such an incredible doctor. Words cannot describe what Miss Nunez has done for me. She has an amazing way about her that instantly makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and able to ask questions. I cannot think of one area that Miss Nunez can improve on. I would recommend her to anybody who has problems with their hand/wrist.

I didn’t see her personally before the operation, but I did meet her team. They were all very kind and one of them even went as far to assure me I would be well cared for. The operation went well and I was well cared for in the recovery room. I came back to the hospital the following week and after the plaster was removed Miss Nunez came to see me . She was charming and really impressed with how I had started to heal. She was very positive and also sent one of her team into to see how my hand looked.she made me feel I was doing really well. I may have to have the other hand operated on and would be very pleased to find she would be the surgeon to do it.

After a trip to A&E, then fracture clinic a week later with no-one able to help my daughter, we were referred to Miss Nunez. After 2 weeks of my daughter being in pain & unable to move her hand, we walked in.. Miss Nunez was amazing with us, she was chatty, smiley & friendly & very knowledgeable within 10mins knew what was wrong & had a treatment plan. I would highly recommend & without a doubt would ask to see her again if we are in need of an Orthopaedic surgeon.

My recent appointment with Valerie was an extremely pleasant experience overall.
I was called in on time and made to feel at ease. Valerie explained everything to me in a very pragmatic and positive way which gives You a great deal of confidence going forward.
I don’t really know what more she could have done better or to improve.
I’m extremely grateful that Valerie Was my treating surgeon, first class.

Miss Nuñez is a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon with expertise in the management of all aspects of hand and wrist disorders and injuries.
She completed her specialist surgical orthopaedic training on the South West London rotation after which she completed three sub-specialty plastic surgery Hand Fellowships @ The Hand Clinic, Windsor, St George's Hospital and The Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
She has published a number of papers in peer reviewed journals and presented at international meetings in Europe and abroad.
She is a keen educator and has travelled internationally to establish sub specialty training and educational courses in El Salvador and Sudan.
She was elected as Chairman of the Hand & Wrist Faculty of the AOUK Trauma society in 2014, and is an invited International member of the Hand Expert Group of the AOTK Trauma Foundation based in Switzerland since 2016.
